TOURNAMENT RULES

  1. Each contestant, upon registering to compete in the North East Yellow Perch Tournament, agrees to hold the sponsors, their agents and employees, and the PA Fish and Boat Commission harmless from any liability of any nature and for any injuries and/or damages suffered by the entrants during the period the Tournament is to be held. Each contestant is responsible to know and understand all the Tournament rules. Upon entering, all contestants agree to allow any pictures taken of entrants and/or their fish to be released to the Tournament committee to be used in any publications as the Tourna- ment committee deem appropriate.

  2. All contestants are required to follow all fishing and boating regulations that may apply and to possess a valid PA fishing license and Lake Erie Stamp in their name, purchased prior to the Tournament.

  3. 3. Fishermen may fish from any port on Lake Erie. Contestants must be registered prior to the start of the Tournament.

  4. All persons in the same boat must be entered in the Tournament and are subject to being checked. Any time there is a non-participant on the boat (whether fishing or not) all fish caught during the out cannot be entered in the Tournament.

  5. All fish entered in the Tournament are to be yellow perch. One catch of five fish per person per day may be entered. Combined heaviest catch by weight on Saturday and again on Sunday will determine the winner. In the event of a tie, the first catch registered by day and time will be the winner.

  6. Cash prizes are based on 200 entrants and are subject to change.

  7. Saturday’s catch must be weighed Saturday between 4-8 pm and Sunday’s catch must be weighed between Noon-4:00 pm at the North East Marina. A certified scale will be used and the fish are subject to inspection.

  8. All fish entered must be legally caught the day of the tournament. Any fish entered that have been altered in any way will be disqualified. Any fish that have been frozen will not be accepted. Any fish that show any indication of illegal capture or discoloration will be subject to examination and possible disqualification. There will be no refund of entry fee in the event of disqualification.

  9. A minimum size of 7 inches is required for qualification.

  10. 10. All waters of Lake Erie are eligible for tournament fishing.

  11. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the conclusion of weigh in on Sunday, August 1, 2010, at the North East Marina.

  12. 12. Tournament officials reserve the right to

    adjust the Tournament times or cancel the event after a lengthy delay due to dangerous conditions. All prizes will then be awarded by drawing.
  13. All interpretations of the rules will be made by the Tournament Committee and their decision shall be final and are not subject to appeal.

  14. It is the intention of the Tournament Committee that all entrants will act so that an honest and good sportsman like contest will take place.

  15. Entry deadline is July 31, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. NO EXCEPTIONS.
