LakeShore RailwayHistorical Museum is owned and operated by the non-profit Lake Shore Railway Historical Society, Inc. It began operation in 1970. The museum features a restored 1899 passenger depot, which contains displays of railroad memorabilia. Twenty-six pieces of railroad rolling stock are located on the 2-1/2 acre property. Interior tours of some cars and locomotives are available. Seasonal hours are Mid-April, May, Sept & Oct.: Noon to 4. Sat. and Sun Memorial Day through Labor Day: Noon to 4. Also open the two weekends immediately after Thanksgiving for annual “Christmas at the Station” event that features a unique craft and gift boutique, bake sale and lunch in the railroad dining car “Lake Wenatchee.” The museum has extended hours of operation and special activities during the Wine Country Harvest Festival in September. Other special events throughout the year may include demonstrations of the museum’s Heisler fireless steam locomotive (the only operative fireless steam locomotive in North America), quick tours on a real railroad speeder car and rides on the 7.5-inch gauge railway. Public programs on modern railroading, railroad excursions, railroad history, etc. are held on the third Saturday evening of each month May through Sept. Call for times and topics. Groups are encouraged to schedule private tours of the museum and grounds for a nominal fee. The museum’s 48-seat dining car may be rented for parties and dinners by the hour (2-hour minimum).

The North East Marina opened in 1991 and is operated under the name North East Marine Services, Inc. Owned by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, the marina has 220 dock slips, a tackle shop, full marine service, summer and winter storage, 4 launch ramps.
